The rule has always been that you are supposed to emphasize one feature instead of wearing heavy make-up all over your face, but Lauren gets it wrong with lip colour that is much too dark for her skin tone. The rest of her make-up is nice and simple, so her lips could have been coloured with a lighter shade of red or pink and still remained the focus of her face without being too harsh.
